Meet Dr. Kuhlman
From a very young age, I was curious about the why people do and feel the way they do, which led me to a career in psychology. I am a licensed psychologist in the state of Tennessee (#3447) and a National Register Health Services Psychologist.

Having gone down the road of infertility myself and experienced the difficulties of becoming a new mother, I am passionate about helping women and men gain peace in their own reproductive journey.
As a member for the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, I am always studying the latest research on infertility and mental health. I am a proud member of RESOLVE, the National Infertility Association, and Postpartum Support International.
I also draw a lot from the work Dr. Brené Brown focusing on identifying and understanding what is holding you back from fully living life and developing the skills to live more courageously and connect more deeply with others.

I graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. I obtained my PhD in Counseling Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin, an APA-accredited program, and completed my pre-doctoral internship program at Texas A&M University’s Student Counseling Service, also an APA-accredited program. I then completed my postdoctoral year in private practice working with adults and adolescents in individual therapy.

Throughout my career, I have sought out opportunities to work with a variety of clientele. I have worked at multiple university counseling centers, including the University of Texas at Austin, St. Edward’s University, and Texas A&M University, providing individual, couples, and group therapy to very diverse populations. I have also worked at Capital Area Mental Health Center providing individual therapy to adults in the Austin area. In addition to therapy, I have conducted numerous educational, intellectual, and personality assessments for both children and adults.

For fun, I enjoy reading, cooking, and working to improve my relationship with running. I also love traveling and experiencing new cultures. My life goal is to visit at least six, if not all seven, continents.
